Heat Pumps FAQs
- What heat pump brands does Dunn Wright install?
- We install and service heat pumps from Daikin, York, and American Standard for homeowners across Seguin, New Braunfels, San Antonio, and the greater Central Texas area.
- Is a heat pump worth it in Central Texas?
- For most Central Texas homes, yes. Our winters are mild enough that a heat pump heats efficiently nearly all season, and it cools just like an air conditioner in summer — so one system covers both. It’s an especially smart choice for homes without natural gas.
- What’s the difference between a heat pump and an air conditioner?
- In cooling, they work the same way. The difference is winter: a heat pump reverses to pull heat into your home, while an air conditioner only cools and needs a separate furnace for heat. In our climate a heat pump can often replace both.
